AU Finishes Strong To Ink Top 5 Class

Coach Chizik and Auburn sign a total of 32 to finish the 2010 class on Wednesday. 5 of which are already enrolled on the Plains and count towards the 2009 class. The hard work by the coaching staff, along with the recruiting antics of "Big Cat Weekend" and Billboards spread across the state paid dividends on this first Wednesday of February. All three major recruiting sites have the Tigers in the top 5 nationally. Auburn also manages to recruit the #1 rated offensive line this year, which will for sure help Malzahn and the AU backfield in the upcoming years on the gridiron.

Tuberville's a Red Raider

Texas Tech hires former Auburn HC Tommy Tuberville as their replacement for Mike Leach. It should be interesting to see what style of offense Tubs installs in Lubbock. Texas Tech is known for their spread attack on offense, and Tuberville was unsuccessful with his '08 transition to the spread attack at Auburn. It lead to the firing of 1st year offensive coordinator Tony Franklin, and Tuberville's resignation.

Former AU assistant James Willis is rumored as a candidate for Defensive Coordinator.
