Acceptable win last night by the Tigers over a marginal (at best) opponent...although after losing to Sam Houston State on Sunday I am not sure what opponent qualifies as marginal these days.
As someone who watches as much Auburn basketball as humanly possible this season has not been what I expected . With 4 horrocious losses to teams that are far less talented, except for maybe Troy (I know) which as 3 SEC transfers, and with 2 tough losses away from home to ACC teams to say the beginning of this season has been a disappointment would be an understatement. However, I am holding on to hope that the early season struggles will somehow help this team down the stretch. Frankie Sullivan, Tay Waller and DeWayne Reed are more than capable guards that on most nights can handle the ball and shoot lights out from the perimeter. What needs to happen is for someone (Brendon Knox, Kenny Gabriel, Ty Armstong, Johnnie Lett...someone) to step up and play tough in the paint for more than 5 minutes.

House Passes H.R. 390 (College Football Playoff Act of 2009)

A House subcommittee approved the legislation of H.R 390 today. Next step is to go to the full committee for deliberation and revisions for the general debate. Although this bill is far from a House and Senate Vote, it is one step closer to having the Commander and Chief's signature.
H.R. 390 : To prohibit, as an unfair and deceptive act or practice, the promotion, marketing, and advertising of any post-season NCAA Division I football game as a national championship game unless such game is the culmination of a fair and equitable playoff system.

5 things
1. Big win by the basketball team tonight;
2. It is absolutely ridiculous that Darvin Adams is not 1st team All-SEC;
3. It is more ridiculous that somehow Darvin Adams didn't even make the "Honorable Mention" category. Not 1st team, not 2nd team, not Honorable Mention.... 10 Touchdowns and 800+ receiving yards in the toughest conference in America and he isn't even "Honorable Mention"?.....that is "Hugh Hefner can still function as a man?" ridiculous;
4. It is utterly stupefying that somehow Lee Ziemba did make it;
5. Bob Griese is no Dave Rowe.
